Thomas Loves Him Some Cupcakes!

Hello! My name is Thomas and I am just getting into blogging. I know, I know, I'm totally late boarding the blog train. But, in my defense, I just recently got a computer that was totally mine. It's a MACBook and I love it. I seriously feel like it's my new child. Only I am a man, and cannot possibly birth a human child, let alone a laptop. So anyways. Let's see. I live in LA. I like cats better than dogs. Cupcakes are my weakness. My favorite color is kelly green. I just wanted to get some basics out of the way. I'll be back when I have something witty or interesting to say. Right now, a have a cupcake calling my name "Thomassssss.....". That's what cupcakes sound like.

July Update!

Back for July, July, my favorite month of all. I had a great Fourth of July. I baked so much, I thought I was going to melt right there in the kitchen. I made these amazing flag cupcakes that were sugar free and vegan. You'd think they'd be tasteless and textureless, but I swear they tasted just like a regular cupcake. They weren't individual flags either. I decorated them so when they were all displayed on the baking sheet it looked like one huge flag. People ate them in bits, but the stars (with the blueberry blue frosting) were the first to go. This one woman ate so many she said she was going to go on the phentramine diet as soon as she got home. Still got tons of stripes left over, but I'm cupcaked out, if you can believe it. I may take the rest of July off and focus my attention on getting my health back together. But this pretty famous food program on PBS called me up and wants to feature my cupcakes. I did some research with some people search engines to find out if they were legit and it all checks out so far. So I may do it. That means I'll have to travel to Portland, Maine in a few weeks, but I can deal with that. Never been to Maine. I wonder if I'll see a moose?

June Update!

Hey guys, I'm back again. Yeah, I took May off to get my health in order and to explore the world a little. Well, not really, but I did go to a baking contest in Tennessee and...I won! Can you believe it? My sugar free Green Velvet cupcakes went over so well, despite the fact that I was competing against some of the best desserts in the country. It was actually kind of torturous being there and not being able to eat anything. One woman had a diabetic buttermilk pie but I don't really like pie (all that crust) and buttermilk even less. The second place winner was a peanut butter cake with chocolate frosting. It looked great but yeah, couldn't eat it. I was kind of freaked out to even be there, but it hit me that if I could find people to work with me, I might actually be able to make a business out of sugar-free desserts. When I won the competition, somebody actually came up and suggested this. I do think it's a great idea, but I'd need to run an amazing people search to find good employees to help me out. I don't want just anybody. Maybe I'll cast around in my support group and see who bites. As I wrote below, they loved the Green Velvet cupcakes. I'm pretty happy to be back from Tennessee, all in all, even though I won a huge prize there. Because I can't really drink or stuff my face with cake I was stuck up in my hotel room watching TV for a while which is why this rant to late night infomercials is just amazing to me. Anyway, back to the real world starting tomorrow. I can't wait! Really!

Thomas is back, guys, with an April Update! I'm feeling much better after that craziness with my blood sugar spiking and alcohol coursing through my system in an unhealthy manner. I still get a little queasy when I see sugar cubes or Budweiser commercials, but all in all I'm still functioning. And quite well, as is the cupcake makin. I've been focusing on the Green Velvent sugar frees, but everybody has been clamoring for my sugar-full versions too. I wear two sets of gloves when I handle the real sugar, but I still get owrried. I dunno, for some reason I feel like sugar is like acid to me or something. Corrosive to my skin, even though I know it's not. I just can't shake that feeling of ODing on straight sucrose. Oh well, I'll get over it in time. My fans require it of me. Maybe I can search people for someone to handle my sugar for me. Hmmm. People search has worked in the past so I figure it'll work now too. Maybe then I can get around to building a family tree like I've been talking about.

March Update!

Well, I'm not doing so well right now. For St. Patty's Day, I made a very special cupcake called Green Velvet. Green, like Ireland, duh. Anyway, they were probably my best yet because I didn't use fake sugar and instead just went crazy and went all out. They pretty much taste like red velvet, except greener, and I just couldn't resist. Once the Guiness started flowing (Rodge brought a keg to the party) I kept stuffing myself with green cupcakes. I woke up in the hospital. Had to be administered some immediate insulin shots. I guess all that sugar and alcohol just shocked my system. Prety scary, actually. I don't even remember half of it. All I had to remember that night was green frosting under my fingernails. I'm gonna stick to sugar-free from now on! Check these links: locate a person. Another great one is for people search. Or people searches. Probably my favorite recently has been People Search USA.

February Update!
Hey guys, I am back and I am feeling much better than I was before. The doctors gave me some good medicine and now I feel like my old self again. And guess what? I did some reasearch and I found all these great recipes for sugar-free cupcakes, just in time for Valentine's Day! I was so worried, because I always make red velvet cupcakes for Valentines Day and I didn't want to not. So I found this great recipe on this site that has a bunch of diebetic recipes. I'm thinking of starting my own speciality diabetic cupcake business. I've been doing research on how I would start that up, as well as doing my usual person search stuff. Doing people searches is getting easier for me, and I am finding so many people who have diabetes too. I joined a support group last week, and I am making a lot of new friends. At our last meeting, we made a list of our top New Year's resolutions for the new year. It was really inspiring, and some of those people are sicker than me. It's really insane. Anyways, I am going back to cupcake research!

January Update!

I've been diagnosed with diabetes! They said my sugar intake was too high and caused this. I am so upset. It's not a bad case thank God. I don't need shots, I cant just take pills to regulate the insulin, but it is still awful! They told me no more cupcakes and I am so depressed about it. My family has been really supportive about it, and I know they are really worried about me. That's the worst part too, knowing I am worrying my family and friends. Anyways, I thought I would just check in. I have some cool links I found that I wanted to throw on here for you guys. I'll be back with more stories when I am feeling a little better :)

December Update!

Hello again everyone. I'm back in black and ready to talk... about the exhibitionist at the Genesis concert. Yes. First of all, read that link and then come back. Second of all, I was THERE and saw this for myself and it was all exactly like this person who wrote this rant said it was. Amazing. Also amazing is the people search tip sites that my friends have been sending me. This one about people search is especially good. In other good news, I have the most supreme batch of red velvet cupcakes in the oven right now. I am making them for my friend Heather. She loves red velvet cupcakes almost more than life itself... and she has a pretty kick-ass life too so that's saying something.

November Update!

Ooooh! Another holiday is almost here! I love this time of year so much, becuase everytime one holiday is over, there is another one right around the corner. I love holidays because it is a perfect excuse to make....yup, you guessed it, cupcakes! I have accuulated so many different recipes by now. I have a little file folder full of them, not to mention a few books given to me. My Hallowwen cupcakes were such a hit this year and I am pumped for Thanksgiving. We are all going over to my mother's house this year. Everyone in the family takes turns hosting Thanksgiving and this year it's my mom's turn. I am making chocolate chip/pumpkin cupcakes with pumpkin cream cheese frosting. Then I am going to use icing to draw little turkeys on all of them! Daunting task, I know, but it is going to be so worth it in the end. While I was looking up the frosting recipe, I inevitably found myself on different people search engines, because if I am not baking, then I search people online. That's the thing about guilty pleasures; they're always random. I think I also have a new hobby, even though I don't really have time for it. It's online dating, which I got into when I read this article on Consumer-Advocate.org-Online Dating, which got me hooked. I need a date to Thanksgiving or my mother will give me another lecture on dying alone. Anyways, I will be back before Christmas.

October Update!

I am making some awesome cupcakes for Halloween, I've been perfecting my design and they look so awesome. All the trick and treaters are gonna love them. I have a photo of what my creations look like, but can't figure out how to upload it, so I will just have to describe them. They are chocolate cupcakes dusted with cocoa, then I've put little white meringue on them (look like a ghost) and RIP gravestones. In people search updates I have some awesome new links to pass on: Find Military and Background Checks informative ways to find people using people search engines. In humor updates, you have to check out Giant Lists - Characters at a Dinner Party, it's a really funny list of characters we all know and love!

September Update!

Hello everyone! I am back with a pretty bizarre cupcake story. So I was cleaning my house (I know shocker!!!), and I found some cupcake crumbs. I instantly knew they were from the double fudge cupcakes with the butter cream frosting I baked the week prior for a Chargers part I had. I just knew. Anyways, it wasn't just some crumbs; it was a whole trail of them. So, naturally I followed them Hansel and Gretel style. It turns out, there were two whole cupcakes just sitting there behind the couch. They were totally fine!....I mean I brushed a little lint ball off one of them, but other than that they were fine! I guess one of my buddies dropped them back there. This was awesome news for me, because I only got, like, one and was really bummed about it. So, I ate them. And they were delicious. I dare you to try finding people as ballsy/cucpake hungry as I am. It's ridiculous. I had to tell someone, but my friends would be grossed out. So, thats it for now.

August Update!

My little niece Zoe had her third birthday party last weekend. Of course Uncle Thomas supplied the cupcakes (probably more for himself than the preschoolers). I relished crafting each individual cake as if it was for the Queen. I made them from scratch, obviously. Luckily she loves chocolate, like her uncle. So, I made double chocolate cupcakes with chocolate chips with cream cheese frosting. Chocolate frosting is no good for some reason. Such a mystery. The cupcakes were a hit! I found the recipe online. Weird, while I was searching for the recipe I came across some people search sites, and indulged my curiosity by checking out a couple search engines. Finding people online is so cool. I didn't have time to people search anyone at the time, but I went back when I did, and found it to be pretty interesting. I tried to find a person who likes cupcakes as much as me and have good recipes.
